Hops ‘N Rocks Virtual Gala

Thursday November 12, 7 pm

In these trying and unprecedented times, we’ve come up with some safe and creative ways to celebrate Penn Dixie’s 25th season. Since it’s not a party without you, we hope you’ll join us for our virtual gala. You can partake in some or all of the festivities leading up to our big virtual event on November 12.

Hops ‘N Rocks: We’ve partnered with one of Buffalo’s premier breweries — Resurgence Brewing Company — to bring you a rockin’ deal: Dinner for two and a 4-pack of locally brewed beers for just $50. Got hungry friends? Choose from the special menu and give them some excellent takeout in support of Penn Dixie. Thanks to Resurgence, a substantial portion of all sales will go towards our organization. Ordering available Sunday 10/25 to Sunday 11/8 at 12 pm; pickup is Thursday 11/12 from 3-7 pm.

Silent Auction: No need to put on your fancy clothes this year! We’ve collected some incredible prizes including unique experiences, handcrafted goods, and locally created art. Our auction opens on Friday November 6 and closes Thursday November 12 following the virtual event.

Virtual Gift Shop: Check out our virtual gift shop — attached to the silent auction — for a special deal on membership gift packs and other Penn Dixie swag.

Raffle: Feeling lucky? Take a shot at winning a fabulous grand prize for only $20 per ticket!

Virtual Gala & Award Ceremony: At 7 pm, join us virtually for a special Zoom presentation — no ticket required. Be a part of Penn Dixie history as we present the Gordon C. Baird Visionary Award to Dr. Gordon C. Baird in honor of his contributions to our organization.

Hops ‘N Rocks

Spectrum News Meteorologist Kaylee Wendt will serve as the Master of Ceremonies at Hops ‘N Rocks, a benefit for hands on science and outdoor education at Penn Dixie Fossil Park and Nature Reserve. Kaylee, a highly visible scientist and Western New York native, is excited to support local STEM education.

All are welcome to attend. Tickets are $50 at the door.

Auction prizes include sports tickets and memorabilia, prizes from community and cultural groups, and gift baskets with food and drink. Join us for exciting Penn Dixie and informal education news. Hops ‘N Rocks is made possible by our great sponsors: Blasdell Rod & Gun Club, Evans Bank, RP Oak Hill Building Company, West Herr, and Phillips Lytle.
