Admission includes an introductory tour, use of basic collecting tools (bucket and trowel), and a souvenir bag for your fossils.
This promotion is limited to walk-in ticket sales only. We accept cash or credit card. Offer only applies to general admission which includes a short, guided tour. Online reservations are not available, and no other discounts or coupons may be used with this offer. Patrons who wish to utilize this promotion must provide valid proof of residency in Erie County or the Town of Hamburg. The person paying for admission for your group will be asked to show proof of residency at the time of check-in.
Examples of acceptable forms of I.D. include:
- Drivers License, Learners Permit, or Non-Driver ID Card
- Passport
- Bank statement or credit card statement
- Lease, deed or mortgage statement
- Utility, cable, internet, or telephone bill
- W2 or tax return
- Paycheck or paystub
Terms and Conditions
- General admission includes an introductory tour, use of basic collecting tools, and a souvenir bag for your fossils
- During August Penn Dixie is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday
- Tours depart every 30 minutes with the first tour at 9:15 a.m. and the final tour at 2:45 p.m. There is no entry after 2:45 p.m.
- Patrons may take home any fossils they find throughout the day and are permitted to stay until the park closes at 4:30 p.m.
- Patrons may also rent from our limited supply of tools ($10 per set, must be age 10+ to use) or bring their own
- Penn Dixie reserves the right to close early due to excessive heat or severe weather in the area
- There is no charge for parking
- Children under age 18 must be accompanied at all times
