Penn Dixie is excited to announce a $5,000 grant from the Town of Hamburg for educational programming in 2016! This grant will allow us to
- provide high quality field trips for K-12 groups at the Penn Dixie Site
- develop and offer new in-school educational programs
- offer new day and evening programs in the natural sciences to draw tourists to Hamburg, NY
- work with local Boy and Girl Scouts, church groups, 4H, pre-school, and senior citizen groups, and the Hamburg Village Recreation Department
- provide exhibits at Hamburg Chamber of Commerce events, expand our offerings at the Erie County Fair, Western New York Home and Garden Expo, Burger Fest, Buffalo Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show, and other events
- continue to assist with Eagle Scout and Girl Scout Gold projects at the Penn Dixie Site
- promote local businesses and support regional tourism in Hamburg, NY
