A Nonprofit Fossil Park and Nature Reserve Bringing Science to Life
Penn Dixie is raising funds to purchase 20 sets of expedition tools (3lb sledge hammer, 12 oz. chipping hammer, chisel, knee pads, and 5 ga. collection bucket) and 1,000 new Fiskars trowels and bucket sets so every visitor—school groups, families, and first-time explorers alike—has access to safe, durable tools for fossil hunting. These tools are essential for delivering an equitable, hands-on science experience to tens of thousands of guests each year.
For more than 20 years, visitors were asked to bring their own tools. Many arrived unprepared. Thanks to generous supporters, we now provide tools for everyone—and your support ensures this accessible tradition continues.
