Dig into the Devonian with an extended tour at Penn Dixie!
Join us as we delve further into the geologic history of our site and explore the ins and outs of fossil hunting at Penn Dixie with our 1 hour long Extended Tours! We provide all participants with a small bucket and trowel for fossil collecting, and everyone can keep all of the fossils that they find! After the tour ends, visitors are able to stay at the site until Penn Dixie closes at 4:30 pm for no additional charge.
Extended Tours start at 10am and are bookable every other Thursday from June 26th through August 21st. Tours leave promptly at their scheduled start time, so please plan to arrive a few minutes early to allow for check-in.
Tickets are $25 for adults (ages 18+) and $20 for children (ages 3 – 17). Please note that our booking software charges a small processing fee. Tickets must be purchased at least 48 hours in advance online or via phone, walk-ins may not be accommodated.
Like our general admission intro tour, Extended Tours are open to the public. If you’d like a tour specifically for your group (10 or more people), consider booking a group tour! You can submit a booking inquiry here: https://penndixie.org/groups/.
