Cephalopods

Cephalopods are predatory marine molluscs that include squid, octopses, and nautiloids.

Ammonite; 14.5 cm wide. Collected by Jake Skabelund of Logan, Utah from the lower Windom Shale.

Orthocone cephalopod; 9.8 cm wide. Collected by Megan Ferguson from the lower Windom Shale.
Pyritized cephalopod; 4 cm wide. Collected by Brandon Bialy from the lower Wanakah Shale.
