Are you ready for another season of fossil fun?
Penn Dixie reopens to the public on weekends beginning Saturday April 21. During the spring we’ll be open for fossil collecting from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and 10 am to 5 pm on Sundays. Visitors are welcome to bring their own gear or rent our equipment as they travel our 54-acre park in search of trilobites and other prehistoric creatures.
To kick off the season, we’re holding our annual Earth Day Cleanup on April 21 from 10 am to 2 pm. Join our team of volunteers to help beautify Penn Dixie and get our park ready for another year of fossil collecting, astronomy programs, and nature tours. All ages are welcome. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers may signup by emailing Dr. Phil Stokes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The day wouldn’t be complete without stargazing, and we hope for clear skies to begin our season with Jupiter and the Spring Constellations at 8 pm. See you there!
