Venus Transit 2012
June 5, 2012
People were there around 4:30pm, and the event didn't start until
around 6:05pm. A lot of cloud cover but started to break up around 5pm.
Started showing sunspots around 5pm, then clouds took over again. But
around 6:15 the sky cleared, and we got our first look at Venus already
on to the sun. It stayed cleared the rest of the evening, and those who
stayed saw Mars, Saturn, M13. We all left around 10:30, over 600 people
viewed this event.
The next will happen in the year 2117,. I won't be able to show that one, I"ll be doing something else that day.
